Her whole world shattered in the glimpse of an eye. After Voldemort's defeat she decided to go to Australia to find her parents and bring them back to England. Her happiness was replace by horror when she found her parents dead instead. Ron and Harry, sad by the news, ran to comfort her having both lost loved ones in he past, Ron, his loving brother Fred and Harry his parents as well.
Going back to England without her parents was not easy for her.
Harry, Ron and Hermione apparated back to the Burrow after the funeral. Hermione wanted a small funeral for them just her and the two most important people in her life. Her friends.
Mrs Weasly welcomed her with a hug.
“ So sorry to hear about your parents my dear. I am here for you. We are all here for you.” she said.
She and Ginny cried together that night. It felt nice. They talked and talked and talked.
“ I want to go back to Hogwarts. I want to complete my studies.” She said next morning in breakfast.
“I think you all should my dear. You, Ron and Harry of course. Ginny will go as well!” said Mrs Weasly.
Both boys agreed that before moving on with their lives it would be wise to finish school.
“Oh I heard Neville's going back too! And Seamus and Dean! They didn't have a chance to finish their year” said Ron with his month full of pumpkin pie.
“Yes its true but most of the people in our year won't go back to Hogwarts.” said Harry.
“Well yes it would be amazing going back to Hogwarts. We will attend classes together. I am very excited. Well not about the classes, about us!!” yelled an enthusiastic Ginny.
As months passed Hermione found a measure of balance. Living with the Weasleys wasn't the easiest thing to do. But she was laughing again. Laughing with joy every time Ron fought with Ginny for insignificant things. Every time they tried to de-gnome the garden but failed. She felt home. She felt safe after a long time.
In September 1st Harry, Ron, Hermione, Ginny, Neville and Luna met in the Great Hall at the welcoming feast.
“I'm so happy to see you, all of you. I missed you!” said Luna and turned red as she saw Neville smiling to her. “I'm so sorry about your parents Hermione. Don't worry, it will be fine. I want to give you my glasses, my Spectrespects. Its a present!”
“We missed you too Luna! Oh thank you so much!” said Hermione and gave Luna a hug. She always thought Luna was weird but she enjoyed that weirdness of hers.
“Hey, today is September 1. Luna its your birthday!!” Said Ginny.
“Happy Birthday Luna!” they all said.
After dinner and with their stomach full they went to spleep.
“Night girls” Said Ron, Harry and Neville.
And the girls went up to their dormitories to sleep. Everything was going back to normal.
The clounds the rain and the mist painted a beautiful picture in Hogwarts grounds. Hermione was looking out the wilndow. Rain made her feel feel at ease like phoenix tears falling on a fresh wound releasing you from the pain.
