What you got if you ain't got love
the kind that you just want to give away
It's okay to open up
go ahead and let the light shine through
Hermione Granger sat in silence as the Burrow was coated in laughter and fun. She gazed out the window and watched the raindrops falling from the glass.
“Mione, please come out,” Ginny begged from outside the room. Hermione didn’t budge. Harry pried the door open and walked inside. Hermione turned to her friend and closed her eyes.
“Hermione, we’re calling off the search party,” Harry said, with no hesitation. Hermione stood up, grabbed her coat, and slowly walked downstairs.
Everyone was silent when Hermione came down, she took Ron’s disappearance the hardest. Hermione nodded and left outside.
I know it's hard on a rainy day
you want to shut the world out and just be left alone
But don't run out on your faith
Outside, Hermione came to remembering the good moments she had shared with Ron.
*Flashback*
Hermione giggled as Ron grabbed her by the waist and spun her around. Ron’s red hair danced across his freckled face.
“Ron, what are you doing?” Hermione asked as her boyfriend walked her over to the broom shed.
“I need to ask you something,” Ron said, as Hermione was brushing dirt from her pants. Hermione’s face went pale, was he breaking up with her? But she nodded.
Ron smiled and got down on one knee, “Will you marry me?”
Hermione gasped at the diamond ring and whispered, “Yes.” Ron slipped on the ring and picked up his fiancé.

Sometimes that mountain you've been climbing is just a grain of sand
what you've been up there searching for
Forever is in your hands
when you figure out love is all that matters after all
it sure makes everything else
seem so small
Hermione walked over to the river where Ron had shown her the smaller version of the northern lights.
“Ron, I wish you could be here. They called off the search party and think you’re never coming back. They’re wrong you are coming back. I just know it,” Hermione said, gripping her coat’s pockets.
She glanced down at her engagement ring and cried silently to herself.
“Ron, where are you?” Hermione asked.
*Flashback*
Hermione glanced at the road and heard two cars coming towards her. She ran in the middle of the road, waiting for her doom.
Ron grabbed Hermione by the waist and pulled her the coming cars. Ron grunted in pain as he glanced down at his leg. It was bloody and there was cut marks along the side.
“Mione, are you ok?” Ron asked, laying flat on his back. Hermione nodded and looked at his leg.
“Ron, I’m sorr-” Ron didn’t let her finish but only stood up and pulled Hermione off the ground.
“Don’t be,” Ron said, looking down into Hermione’s brown eyes. They were full of tears and hurt. Ron sighed and turned away but came back with a SLAP.
Hermione fell to the ground crying softly. Ron stalked away and heard Hermione’s sobbing in the background.
He regretted every moment he did that, and always will.

Ron’s POV
Ron tripped once more as he was still running away from Malfoy. It had been two years since he disappeared, and leaving Hermione. He didn’t know what had happened to her after he left.
“I’m coming Mione, just like I promised,” Ron said as he was running towards the hill.
It's so easy to get lost inside
a problem that seems so big at the time
it's like a river that’s so wide, it swallows you whole
while you sit around thinking about what you can't change
and worrying about all the wrong things
Hermione sat on the ground and choked out a sob.
“RON!” she cried out with tears streaming down her face. Hermione sobbed some more and heard her name being called…
“Hermione! Don’t give up!”
Time’s flying by, moving so fast
You better make it count 'cause you can't get it back
Sometimes that mountain you've been climbing is just a grain of sand
What you've been up there searching for
forever is in your hands
When you figure out love is all that matters after all
It sure makes everything else
Seem so small
Hermione looked up from her tear stained jeans and saw a figure standing on the hill. She gasped and stood up.
“RON?” she asked hopefully. He nodded and came running down to hug her. Hermione ran towards Ron and felt she was jumping with joy.
“Hermione!” Ron called waving his hands. Hermione called for the other Weasleys to come out, and Harry and Ginny were dancing around with glee.
Hermione wrapped her arms around Ron’s back and hugged him tightly. Ron hugged Hermione like she was to never let go.
Sometimes that mountain you've been climbing is just a grain of sand
What you've been up there searching for
forever is in your hands
When you figure out love is all that matters after all
It sure makes everything else
Oh it sure makes everything else
“I’ve missed you Ron,” Hermione whispered in his ear. Ron smiled and kissed her forever.
“I’ve missed you too, Mione,” Ron said taking her hand in his. They stared into each other’s eyes and were lost in the moment.
“Ron, I thought I’d never see you again,” Hermione whispered, holding on to her tears. Ron smiled and lifted her chin.
“Hey, don’t cry Mione. I’m never leaving you again,” Ron said whipping her tears. Hermione felt the gap between she and Ron was disappearing. Then, his lips crashed onto Hermione’s lips.
It seem like everything that could happen and be bad or sad would forever…
