No. I thought they were going to live a HAPPY LIFE TOGETHER. NOOO! *curls up in a ball* hfkbgvbwbkdjgsvjfdkcxbvfckbvc aaannngggsssttt I really liked this one-shot though. I liked how we saw the difference in annoying-Half-Blood-Prince-Lavender and grown-up-Deathly-Hallows-Lavender. This was really good, Pearl! It was AH-MAY-ZING! 10/10! :DAuthor's Response: I know, and it would've been lovely too! But I couldn't. I just couldn't make it happy at all. The cruel monster inside my heart was telling me that I had to kill Lavender, to make the whole idea of war realistic, and well, just the fact that Fenrir had Lavender in the books and she was never mentioned afterward was just sort of calling for that ending--Lavender's fate. And yes, I would like to think that she changed durring the Carrow's occupation at Hogwarts. I can't imagine a sappy, clingy HBP-Lavender prancing around the corridors...it just doesn't fit. It doesn't seem right at all. It's too odd, and the only person who can make odd work is Luna, and Lavender isn't no Luna! So yeah, there has to be some maturity in there. Thank yew for the review an' ratin' dahlin'! You're too kind. :) *attempt to type in a southern drawl* Report Review
Oh, wonderful. The imagery was amazing, it painted a picture in my head, and bought tears to my eyes.Author's Response: WittyandCreative, Hello there! Thank you for reviewing my story, and I'm glad that you enjoyed it. I'm sorry that I made you cry, but at the same time, I feel pleased that I was able to evoke such a strong emotion upon you. So thank you. Thank you so much. Your words are encouraging to such an amature writer like me, striving for improvements. thank you for reading and reviewing. PhoenixPulse Report Review
So heart-breaking. I like the fact that you pictured her more mature and sober than in the previous school years. Lavender, for all her perks, definately grew up in her last year. It actually hurt me when I realised she probably didn't make it. Well done!Author's Response: Kristina1990, Hello dearie, thank you for leaving me a review. :) It is heart-breaking, isn't it? That such a couple who have known and loved eachother for suh a short time had to cut their relationship short? And yes, I was very pleased with my characterization of Lavender, and I am also pleased that you enjoyed the way I wrote her as a more mature, and grown up woman. And it is pretty shattering isn't it, that she died? But I had to have it that way. If I made her live, it would've been too perfect. I wanted to keep it bitter. Not all war stories end so happily, like Deathly Hallows' epilogue. As horrid as it sounds, I wanted Lavender dead. I tried writing a happily ever after, but I tossed it, because it just wasn't satisfying to me. Thank you so much for reviewing, and I'm glad that you liked it! :) PhoenixPulse Report Review
I love the other side of Lavender, and its nice to see Seamus finally getting some time in the sun! Its too bad you didn't let her live though, then you could have written more :)Author's Response: Lululuna, Hello there, thank you so much for leaving a review. I'm glad you liked this other side to Lavender. I honestly feel sorry for her character, because people often think of her as a shallow, annoying girl and nothing else. Some people fail to realize that Lavender was sorted into Gryffindor for a reason, and so I let Lavender shine in new light here. I made her into the Gryffindor she was meant to be. I gave her the personality of a loyal and brave classmate, finding a newfound courage. And yes, Seamus. I love that boy to death strangely. I don't know why, but he's an odd character I found love for, for no apparent reason. And yes, I could've made her live, but this story seemed to call out as one of those that didn't end on a happy note. Yes, I could've made her live, and I honestly tried that in the first draft, but I wasn't so pleased with it, so I re-written the ending and had her dead. I'm not sure, it just felt more comfortable for me that way. Thank you so much for you lovely review. Your words have gained much appreciation. :) PhoenixPulse Report Review
