So before i start i have to say, I NEVER "ship" Freddie over James, actually I don't think I have ever actually read another story where that is an option, but point is I usually love James character, even when he is a jerk. Usually i will choose him over anyone else, yet this story has now become my favorite exception. Freddie and Thee are absolutely adorable. The perfect best friends turned couple (if that happens *hint* *hint*)
That being said the James explanation was good, I really started to kind of like James and then he had to completely ruin all of that with his "Jen is my number one" crap. Poor Thee, but she really needs to get over him. I agree with hope in that she needs to stop making excuses for him.
Anyways, enough of my ramblings. This story is great, quickly becoming one of my new favorites. Please keep writing!

Wow James is a total manipulative asshole and Dorothy is pathetic. He was so using her and he knew it too, and then tried to spin it like it was all her fault for not just accepting it. In their little discussion about whether it was okay to do this or not, he acted like he was seriously interested in Dorothy and wanted to continue this to see if he had real feelings for her, and did not make it clear that he would drop her as soon as Jen wanted him back. I really hope that he comes crawling back to Dorothy and she rejects him as he treated her like crap and has no regard for her feelings at all. And the fact that he kept cheating on Jen with her should be a sign to Dorothy that James is selfish and pathetic. I really love Freddie but think he is way too good and nice for Dorothy as she is totally emotionally dysfunctional and I wouldn't trust her to be in a healthy, normal relationship unless she makes some serious changes. I cannot believe she keeps making excuses for James and won't just admit that he is not at all a real friend to her and doesn't care about her at all other than someone to use to stroke his own ego and get off with. At this point, I hope Dorothy rejects James and Fred finds someone else who can fully appreciate him.

That you could never stay mad at, or you always made excuses for? James is that person for Dorothy. It's like, she knows she shouldn't go back, but it's James. This gave me real insight into James and Dorothy's relationship, so thanks a lot for writing it :) To be honest with you, it didn't really make my opinion of James any better, I still adore him, but, ugh, I dunno... I liked the Leaky Cauldron scene though, it was cute :) It felt like three friends together joking around like it should be really. Right now, I'm just dying for some Fred Weasley *wink wink giggles girlishly*

I love this story to bloody pieces. It's the best next Gen one that I've read in aaages! I actually bothered to review, so that's saying something ;)
This story is really well written, the plot's really interesting, I don't hate James, he annoys my but I still like him most of the time, BUT, I adore Fred to bits, he's just supermegafoxyawesomehot. Basically, thanks to you, I have developed a fetish for Fred Weasley. ;)

I like this story, but I'm not sure if I like Dorothy. She needs to grow up or she'll end up hurting Fred. He is just too good with her to be hurt. And I loved that big kiss (though she still needs to grow up to deserve Fred). I am glad that James is trying to make things right. Someone has to do it.
Anyway, great story. Keep updating, please! I'd love to know what will happen next.

I'm sorry, but Dorothy is seriously messed up and pathetic. It's seriously disturbing how she is refusing to see how problematic James treatment of her is and her willingness to just accept and encourage it. I'm glad that James is trying to stop their unhealthy, dysfunctional dynamic, although he is still being totally insensitive to her feelings; but in a way it's hard to even feel bad for Dorothy as she is practically begging him to keep using her and probably wouldn't mind if he cheated on Jen with her. In a way she is almost just as selfish as James, not caring about how her actions affect or hurt others, so I guess they kind of deserve each other as I don't particularly respect either one of them. And I think Freddie can do way better than her until she gets more emotionally healthy and stable and doesn't get joy out of being used by someone. I'm not sure where you are going with this but hope that Dorothy doesn't start taking advantage of Freddie's feelings like James did to her.

But you are right, she is very emotionally unstable currently and a bit pathetic when it comes to James. I hope that as the plot moves forward, she becomes more respectable. Obviously I'm rooting for Freddie. James is a total jerk to not only her but also Jen as it seems like he is planning to still cheat on her with Dorothy and who knows who else whenever it strikes his fancy. I really hope Dorothy gets some self-respect and stands up to James for the way he is treating her. And I hope she recognizes how much better Freddie treats her and how much happier she will be with him. Thanks for sharing.
