Review #3, by NevilleTheUnknownHero The Last Stand

13th April 2013:
That chapter was brilliant. I still can't help but think the others were better though. I wish you had gone into more detail with Neville and Voldemort's confrontation. For me that was one of the best moments in all the books and it's disappointing to have it just written in a few lines. Other than that I absoloutly LOVED this chapter and don't apologise for the long wait. We all understand it must've been tough for you with your relative dying. Hope to see the next chapter soon!

Author's Response: Hey! Thanks so much for taking the time to leave a review. I didn't focus much on that scene because I felt that it would be repetitive to just rewrite everything Rowling had in that chapter. Plus the site's quoting rules are strict, so I would have had a hard time getting this chapter validated if I included every line Voldemort and Neville said. I'm so happy you liked the chapter overall, though. :) Thank you.

Review #4, by Lyssa The Last Stand

11th April 2013:
Hi! I was so glad to see another chapter in my favorite story, it made my day!! :) Great job writing Voldemort's defeat from Ginny's point of view...you really captured what she must have been feeling and thinking. I can't wait to read more...I'm anxious to read about life post-Hogwarts...hopefully you are going to write about Harry and Ginny getting back together and not just skip to the epilogue? Please? :) You are a wonderful writer...and I am telling you this as an educator...I have been teaching literacy for 14 years. (and Harry Potter remains one of my favorite series!) As usual, I'm looking forward to more...and don't doubt yourself for one second, I have every confidence that you can write a fabulous romance. :)

Author's Response: And your review made MY day! Thanks so much for your support throughout the story. :) I'm flattered that you enjoy my writing, since you're a literacy teacher!! (And that's saying something, I'm quite a young author.) And don't worry, the next chapter is all Harry/Ginny. The epilogue is two chapters away. :) Again, you have left me so many kind and motivating reviews, and I can't thank you enough!

9th April 2013:
Yay! Finally Harry killed Voldemort! I was waiting for this chapter for like ages. =]
I really liked the battle. You did a nice job from Ginny's PoV. Oh and I was afraid you're going to copy paste all Harry's speech from Dh. :P
Anyway, can't wait to read the epilogue. Are we going to see something right after the war? Or anything like canon- a few years later? I'm curious! :D
Please update soon??

Ashwini

Author's Response: Hey! Thanks so much for the lovely review! :D Haha, yeah, that was the hardest part of writing this chapter--being too repetitive and making it seem as if I just copied Rowling's work. The next chapter is the day right after, when Harry and Ginny talk and the aftermath is described. The epilogue...you'll just have to wait and see. ;) Again, thanks so much for your support throughout the story. I really appreciate it. :)

I would just like to point out that in Fabian's letter to Molly, Gideon is spelled incorrectly two times, Gidgeon and Gidegon. Thank you!

Author's Response: Oh, sorry about that. Thank you very much for pointing that out. :) I'll fix it as soon as I can.

Yay, I was wondering when we'd hear from Potterwatch! And Muriel's a meanie, I don't like her. Good job! :D

Author's Response: I know, Potterwatch! I thought it was about time to include it. ;) Yeah, nobody likes Muriel. Although I think my Muriel was even worse than Rowling's, haha. :P

Aw, Neville/Hannah moment! Awesome job with this chapter!

10/10

21st March 2013:
Hi. I've already read this all but I want to ask you why u deleted Ginevra's Tale? I was planning to read it.

Author's Response: I'm so sorry about that--you see, I've been really caught up in RL lately, and can't find enough time to manage another long-term novel, so I decided it was best to delete it instead of just letting it hang there and not be updated for months. Again, I'm really sorry! I hope you understand.

I think you are doing a great job, by telling us H.P. fans Ginny's side and thus the side of all Harry's classmates and their trials and sufferings at the school they all loved. Keep up the good work Rosie.

I would also like to say: Bravo for putting School first!!

Author's Response: Hi, thanks so much for the sweet review, it means a lot! :) I'm really enjoying writing DH from Ginny's PoV, which shows people what happened and what everyone's reactions to the situations were.

Haha, darn school! I can't wait for summer--then I'm sure updates will be quicker! Thanks so much for reading and reviewing!

Review #21, by True Author Moments of Battle

16th January 2013:
Lovely chapter! I liked that Ginny called the Room of Requirements her "sanctuary". ;) It was a very thoughtful adjective... haha! Oh and poor Remus and Tonks. =[ I felt so bad for them because I know they're dying. *sobs*

Can't wait for the next! I don't figure out how you could write something awesome like this when your close relative died of cancer... *hugs*.

Ashwini =]

Author's Response: Hello! I'm so happy to hear that you enjoyed the chapter! I know, Remus and Tonks. :'( They shouldn't have died! Thanks for the review and the condolence. :)

Review #22, by CambAngst Moments of Battle

15th January 2013:
Yay! I've been looking forward to an update for what feels like ages. Let's dig right in...

I loved the way that you captured every character as they headed off to try to defend Hogwarts from the Death Eaters. It took me right back to Deathly Hallows, but it was also sad in a way, because I knew that some of them weren't going to survive. Augusta was probably my favorite. I loved the spirit and the pride that she has in this. Age is plainly no issue for her.

Poor Tonks! Ugh, so terrible to see her dashing off after Remus. She was brave and devoted to him until the end.

As seen through Ginny's eyes, the action took us all over the school. I liked seeing so many different aspects of the battle, although I also felt like you sacrificed a bit of depth and detail. I think I would have liked it more if you hadn't spread yourself quite so thin and if you'd focused more on a smaller set of events.

Ugh. Ginny witnesses her first death. What an awful moment. At least she was able to help save Neville. It was pretty awesome to see the members of Dumbledore's Army fighting side by side and looking out for one another.

That was a very interesting choice, giving Snape a small moment of heroic glory. I'm not sure where I believe he was during his final hours or what he was trying to do. I found it a little hard to buy into the idea of him attempting to protect the students defending the castle since most of them would have cursed him on sight.

I also struggled a little with Molly warming so quickly to the idea of Ginny fighting. There's death and destruction everywhere, and the poor woman must have been in a complete panic. Obviously she's made the leap by the time Ginny, Luna and Hermione are dueling Bellatrix, but it felt a bit abrupt. She definitely wouldn't have been apologizing for trying to keep Ginny out of the fight.

Gah! When Neville gives Ginny the bad news -- albeit softly -- that was heart-breaking. I thought you did a great job of capturing the all-consuming dread and numbness that she must have felt as she made her way to where the rest of the family was mourning her brother. One nit-picky thing: Fred, Tonks and Remus were taken to the Great Hall after they died, not the Hospital Wing. I actually had to dip into my e-book version of Deathly Hallows and check that to be certain.

Your writing was terrific in this. I didn't see any typos or other problems and I thought it all flowed beautifully.

Wow, only three more to go. I hope you're able to finish strong, and my condolences on your loss.

Author's Response: Hello! Thanks so much for taking the time to leave such a lovely review. :)

My main goal was for the reader to return to DH with a new perspective, so I'm glad I accomplished that! :D

I know, poor Tonks, Remus, and Fred. :'( I really wanted to go completely off-canon and not have them die, but I made a promise at the beginning stay on canon. :P

I didn't really mean to portray Snape freely protecting the students, I meant for him to save Ginny while passing through. You know, when he goes to the Shrieking Shack on Voldemort's orders? I should have made that clearer.

As for Molly, I didn't know what else to do, haha. I was questioning the same thing when I was writing the scene. Perhaps I could edit it and have the explosion happen before Molly even gets to scold Ginny. :)

Gah! You're right, they weren't taken to the hospital wing! :headdesk: I'll get around to editing that later...

Thanks so much for the helpful review, you're suggestions are always the best! :) Glad to hear you were excited for this chapter! And thanks for the condolence too.

Review #23, by Lyssa Moments of Battle

14th January 2013:
I loved this chapter...excellent addition having Snape save Ginny. I know that they were in the middle of a terrifying battle, but I would have liked to read some of what Ginny was feeling when she saw Harry come back into the Room of Requirement (fear for him, love, worry, anger, etc). Once again, I love your writing style..it sounds like something JK would have written...I know that you're probably anxious to finish your story, but I'm sad to see it come to an end! I can't wait to read the epilogue from Ginny's POV.
I'm so sorry about your family member, cancer is a terrible thing that destroys families. We have had our own brush with it in my family, and I'm sorry for what you must have been through these past months.

Author's Response: Nice to see you again! :P I'm glad you liked the scene where Snape saves Ginny, I thought it was necessary to remind the readers where Snape's loyalty really was.

You're right, I'm excited but also sad about bringing this story to an end. :( Hasn't it been like a year? I remember starting this last February. Time really flies, doesn't it!

Thank you for your kind words, Cancer really is terrible...it means a lot. Thank you so much for reading and reviewing, and of course for your continued support! :)

Review #25, by Josephine Williams The Battle Begins

4th December 2012:
Just wanted to say that I stumbled over your "novel" one hour ago and now I`ve just finished the 11th chapter. It´s totally brilliant and you are very talented. You manage to be creative and still keep to the story by Rowling and I really admire that! I´m myself currently rewriting the books and adding a character of my own making, Hermione´s little sister Ophelia, and you´re story have given me a hundred new ideas, so thank you so much! I´m really looking forward to read the rest and I hope, if I ever publish my story, that you´ll feel proud to have inspired bits of it?! All the luck to you in the future and please know that this is the best story I`ve read in quite a while now, I hope you know how talented you are!:D

Author's Response: This has to be one of the nicest reviews I've ever gotten! You're too kind! I can't express how pleasured I am to hear that you're enjoying the story so much. :) And you're completely welcome for the inspiration! Again, thanks so much for the absolutely wonderful review! :D
