I love the dueling scene. It was really fun to read. It's cool to read a McGonagall/Tom...even if they aren't really together.

Author's Response: I'm glad you liked that scene, I hardly ever write 'action' type scenes, it was very difficult to write. Haha, yes they aren't together...yet...there's a vibe. Tom/Minerva is one of my favourite ships, yet you can't really write them as a couple. It's definitely almost always a one-sided relationship, but I won't say anymore at the risk of spoiling things.

I love writing Elsie's lines, having a character comment on a ship like Tom/Min in a story doesn't happen much, she's basically shipping a ship that hasn't even started sailing yet :) It's awesome and basically echoes my fangirly thoughts!

Another intriguing chapter! So it wasn't the longest but it was packed with enough to make it a brilliant in depth chapter. That last sentence is just awesome and it's really built up the suspense for the next chapter, I'm dying to know what happens next. The scene was set perfectly and I loved the thoughts that were going through Minerva's mind about how if they duelled again and things like that!

Ooh this is getting interesting and it's only chapter one! I love how you've kept it in date, because sometimes people forget about the time period and make mistakes. This one was flawless! The characterisation of everyone was amazing and I generally love this story already because it's too good to be true, it's a novel! I must add it to my favourites like right now!

Love it! What girl doesn't fall for the bad boy one time or another :P I love how intrigued McGonagall is the more mysterious he becomes. Can't wait to read what happens with them next.

I'm loving writing this story, I agree, who doesn't fall for the bad boy at least once? Minerva is hilarious to write, she doesn't really have any idea what's going on with Tom, but she can't help but be intrigued. Not the smartest reaction to the future Dark Lord, but, you know :P

I must say that I do like Minvera/Tom stories. Minerva is such an interesting character. You do a good job in this story showing her strong personality and character. She definitely admires Tom, even if she doesn't love him yet.

I also like your cast of secondary characters. The girls seem pretty typical of girls their age and have pretty distinct personalities.

Overall, not a bad job, I'm interested to see what happens next.

I'm glad you like Min/Tom. I wasn't really a fan till I joined the forums...and this is my first attempt. I also tried to get my characterisation up to scratch since it has previously been lacking.
