This is really good. Lee is an amazing kid. -Flipp Report Review
This is interesting. I've never really thought about Lee Jordan before, as the broadcasts completely left my mind once I'd finished reading Deathly Hallows. Annnyway, maybe you could write more from Lee's point of view? It would be different from the other stories on this site, and maybe you could have some povs from the twins guest appearances? ByeeeAuthor's Response: Lee is one of my favorite characters and it always makes me sad that he seems to get passed over quite a bit. I wanted to put him in the spotlight and really show what a hero is is. An interesting notion to be sure, writing more from Lee. Maybe in the future...you never can tell! Thanks again for everything! I love this!! So completely different and original. I loved the plot and it's really well written :DAuthor's Response: Thank you! I try really hard to be different, so it means a lot that you think the story is original! Your review is fantastic! Report Review
Finally a story with lee. I'm glad to have found this. Anyway I loved the start, it was powerful and it already had me rooting for Lee :D hope to see more soon.Author's Response: Well, this story was just a one-shot so there really isn't more to this specific story. I just always thought Lee was sort of an unsung hero, and I wanted to do him justice. Thanks for the review! Report Review
This is incredible, and very original. I feel that Lee is an unrecognized war hero, and it's about time someone like you wrote about him. Great story!Author's Response: Thank you so much! Lee did deserve it! Thank you! Report Review
I thought this was beautifully done! The characterization of Lee was perfect. I love watching the history behind his want for truth. This was really full of emotion and passion. I like how you built up his character, with references to how Radio and communicating to people had always been his first love. I loved the touch that his dog was called River, that was perfect! I thought the radio broadcast at the beginning sounded so accurately DH ministry supporter, it was perfect. I thought it was good that Lee really had to stand up for what he believed in and leave home. It showed us some of the sacrifices that must have been made by minor characters y'know? His speech was brilliant and very realistic and inspiring. Well done!Author's Response: I'm glad you caught the part about his dog's name! I hope other people did, but you are the first person to mention it! Thanks for all the compliments, you made me smile quite a bit!!! Report Review
Well done. The detail was good and the pace was nice. Question; Wasn't there others with him at the broadcast? I believe that was so in the book. Why did you leave them out? Was there a specific reason? Good job all in all.Author's Response: Well, Potterwatch was a show that was broadcasted multiple times. I figured the very first time Lee would still be getting himself settled and figuring out how things were going to go. Eventually, as the show picked up in popularity, he would discuss it with others and and bring guests on. Report Review
this is brilliant! ! ! ! ! i really loved it!! Lee is a great charecter and this just sums him up brilliantly! I dont know about you but probably one of my favourite chapters in the 7th book was when they were listening to the radio station!! thanks again 10/10, ravenclawgrl xx :D xxAuthor's Response: That was one of my favorite chapters too! I really thought Lee deserved some of my attention and I was attempting to win a writer's duel with this story as well. Thank you for the lovely review! Report Review
Really good story. I've always wondered about other Potterwatches besides the ones mentioned and I think this was a very interesting first episode. 10/10Author's Response: Thank you! I'm so glad you found it interesting! Report Review
This was absolutely brilliant. It is a shame that fanfiction is written off at contrived, unimaginative and uninspiring when there are works like these. I loved the writing style, and most importantly, the close, personal connection we feel to Lee. As if it wasn't enough that you've written story focusing on a minor character (one of my favorite kinds of stories), you've quoted one of my favorite movies and one of my favorite philosophers. This was truly excellent. It is perfect one it's own, I only wish there was more :)Author's Response: I was really thinking about making this longer and extending it, but I guess the rest of the story sort of tells itself. I thought Lee deserved some time and attention! You said so many kind things, so for that I am very grateful. Thank you so much! Report Review
That was wonderful. I've never read any fictions on here telling the tale of the beginning of Potterwatch. The way you portrayed Lee's emotions and his absolute need to getbthe truth outnthere, even by defying his family. Very well done.Author's Response: Thank you! I put a lot of thought and effort into this one, so it really means a lot to me that you enjoyed it! Report Review
Wow. This is really good! :) I've never read anything about the birth of Potterwatch (or, for that matter, anything in Lee's voice) so this was really interesting for me. To start a radio program like this would take an incredible amount of Gryffindor courage, trying to stand up when it feels like the whole world's against you. Lee's speech was really inspirational and I think that the idea behind this one-shot was really great. I especially liked the last lines: "I realized that even if a few people had heard the broadcast, there was a chance that no one would remember or think about it. But, that meant there was always the chance that someone would." Also the quote at the bottom - "No matter what anyone tells you, words and ideas can change the world." Both of them are so true. Great job!Author's Response: Thank you! I took some time off my other writing to do this, so it means a lot to me that someone enjoyed it! I've always liked Lee and I always figured if I was in the whole Voldemort war, I would want to get involved in the underground radio station. Thank you for all the nice things you said and for making me feel very proud of my writing! Report Review
