Your story chilled me to the bone, and captured well the most feared thing on this planet: helplessness.

That was incredible. Exquisitely written and incredibly thought-provoking, it was refreshingly the most professinally written fanfiction that I've ever read. Wonderful!

Review #7, by Kinda_Mayvelle In Her Hands She Held The Whole World

9th November 2007:
Let me just say this is incredible. The believability of this piece is utterly astounding. Having Hermione tell the tale lends a certain air to it that, I believe, fleshes out the story even more.

And you're right. If the wizarding world did exist, and the Muggles found out, I'm dead sure almost the exact same sequence of events detailed here would occur. People hate what they don't understand, and magic would terrify Muggles beyond comprehension. Not only that, but it would make all their own hard work to invent things, to create better cures for illnesses and the like, seem like nothing...since the wizards could do so all along, and with hardly any effort at all.

Following that, I think they would be resentful because of it. The lives of Muggles would be so much easier if they could do magic; if it ever occurred to them that the wizards had safe-guarded their magic from their non-wizardly counterparts there would be some rather serious antagonism between the two worlds.

All in all, very nice piece. It hits upon the topic perfectly, and is believable to a T.

This is such an amazing story! I admit I was a bit confused at first, but the pieces all came in together later into the chapter.

To me, this seems like such a creative and unique plot! This idea has never crossed my mind and with your writing style, I absolutely loved it!

Dark. But intriguing. I never really stopped before to think about how the mass killings in the 7th book (and for that matter the first time around) could've affected anything but the wizarding world. What makes this story so good is its combination of Rowling canon and the world as we know it.

Wow that was very good. I'm deeply impressed, not just with the story itself, but with your writing style. There is a certain type of fluidity in your words, an eloquence in your sentences that can almost be compared to musical notes.
This was an incredibly thought provoking piece and I truly commend you on what a fabulous job you have done with it.

Review #21, by A Licorice Wand In Her Hands She Held The Whole World

7th September 2007:
Wow!

It is something I suppose I've never really considered as an end but now I've read it it seems so stupid that I never did. Thinking about it, all it really took was a few little slip ups and their secret was out.

I'm not sure what to make of the situation though. When faced with the unknown we all tend to fight in our own way and I suppose this is what the Muggles were doing, after all they had been lied to all these years but the idea that they took Harry, after everything he had done for them was awful. What the Muggles are doing is terrible but it cannot be denied after Voldemort they had their reason to be hostile but not in such a violent way.

Having it from Hermione's point of view truly showed how big the gap between the world was. That even someone who had spent half their life in one didn't belong there anymore. As though you could never, despite what the Death Eaters believed, be one or the other, you had to make a choice.

Your writing was moving, so emotive however not overdone and you managed to keep it real. A truly fantastic piece.

Yay i'm the first reviewer! Wow this was a really powerful one shot to read. I don't know whether to feel sorry for the muggles who were getting laughed at by even the half-bloods and muggleborns and always seem to get the worst of it, or Harry and the magical witches and wizards who defended muggles and fought for them.

Wondeful one shot :)
