Wow, this has got to be one of the best Lily/James fanfictions I've read (and believe me, that's a lot). I love the simplicity of the story and the progress both James and Lily show from rivalry to love. I congratulate you on a brilliant job well done.

This was, without a doubt, one of the sweetest Lily/James fics I have read. Ever.

I love the way you write James. He is utterly perfect, and I love his development throughout the piece. And your Lily - ack, she's awesome. I adore her development, too.

As far as your style goes - I love it up, down, left, and right. It's just...so perfect, very fitting for this. Though the readers are only presented with little snippets of information and the fic itself isn't very long, I feel as though I've read a many chaptered story in the matter of ten minutes, which is quite an accomplishment. And I might say that this is a far cry better than a lot of the full-length Lily/James stories that I've read.

In short, this was fabulous. Definitely going on my favourites' list! You, my dear, are very talented and I can't wait to read more of your work!

This was a wonderful example of how a great one-piece can encapsulate an entire relationship. Part of why the story was so wonderful is the characterizations, which are actually in-character with canon, believable and totally and utterly un-fanon. This could have happened and I bet the truth as Rowling imagined it wasn't too different. It's lovely how dense James is and how he doesn't have a clue. Lily is spirited and it's easy to imagine him falling for her and vice versa.

This story is refreshingly different from the tired (and unbelievable) hate/love cliched fan fictions that comprise 99% of Lily/James stories. Though, even if you had gone with a fanon cliched relationship, your writing and style would have made the story good.

This is terrific. I like that you used the present tense - it gives your story a quick pace and a sense of urgency. You've also included some pretty intriguing details - I was particularly drawn to the moment when James' eyebrows felt funny, having experienced that myself.

Favorite line: "James resolves to call Evans ‘Lily’. After all, that is her name, he thinks." I'm not sure if you meant for that to be funny, but I laughed out loud.

Great work here. I'd like to read more of your work.
