Wow, this has got to be one of the best Lily/James fanfictions I've read (and believe me, that's a lot). I love the simplicity of the story and the progress both James and Lily show from rivalry to love. I congratulate you on a brilliant job well done.
Will you be making another in Lily's point of view?Author's Response: :) Thanks, I'm really glad you enjoyed it. I've been toying with writing something similar to this, perhaps from later in their life together. Whether or not it'll be from Lily's perspective, I haven't decided yet. But it'll be in the same style. Anyway. Thanks! Report Review
Cute :) The format was interesting, too.Author's Response: :) Glad you thought so. Thanks. Report Review
Wow! This is SO well written! Wow! Wow! I wish I could write like this. Now my inner editor will want my blood every time my story seems worse :)
Definitely one of my favorite stories.
:)Author's Response: Haha, thank you. Glad you liked it. :) Report Review
This was, without a doubt, one of the sweetest Lily/James fics I have read. Ever.
I love the way you write James. He is utterly perfect, and I love his development throughout the piece. And your Lily - ack, she's awesome. I adore her development, too.
As far as your style goes - I love it up, down, left, and right. It's just...so perfect, very fitting for this. Though the readers are only presented with little snippets of information and the fic itself isn't very long, I feel as though I've read a many chaptered story in the matter of ten minutes, which is quite an accomplishment. And I might say that this is a far cry better than a lot of the full-length Lily/James stories that I've read.
In short, this was fabulous. Definitely going on my favourites' list! You, my dear, are very talented and I can't wait to read more of your work!
10/10Author's Response: Thank you! That means a lot, coming from an author whose stories I admire so much. James has always been a bit of a favourite, I enjoy writing him. I'm really pleased you liked it, and thanks for the review. :) Report Review

This is really good, I think you've really come onto something here.
I like the innocent style you use to describe them falling in love.
:)Author's Response: :) Thanks. I'm glad you liked the style, it struck me that sometimes love isn't complicated, sometimes it just happens without planning or drama or angst. Sometimes it's just normal. Anyway, thanks for a lovely review. Report Review
Whoa that was beast.
I loved the way you formatted it. Quirky and clever!
You're a fantastic writer. Keep it up!

This is sweet. I enjoy this very much. I like how the events that occur and the thoughts were only a few sentences. A series of snapshots of a long battle. It was awesome.
Bravo to you.Author's Response: Glad you liked it! I really enjoyed writing it. Thanks for the review. Report Review
dis is not mature.
dis should be PG.
but i did like it, it wuz co0l. i wana knw wt she does wen she f0unds out ab0ut de betAuthor's Response: I had to put a Mature rating on it for language. Also, it's not really a bet; at the end it doesn't matter that James did it on purpose, because she wrote on his forehead and he stole her shoes and they both fell in love. Glad you liked it, though. Thanks for the review. :) Report Review
Amazing! I chuckled to myself all the way through.Author's Response: Haha, good! Glad you liked it. Thanks for the review. Report Review
awww that was cute :)Author's Response: Glad you thought so. :) Thanks. Report Review
That was super adorable!
I love the way you wrote it, it makes it so... childish, in a good way. Like. innocent, I guess. So cute, and I love the humour in it. Fantastic piece of writing, love how you've captured the story!Author's Response: :) Thanks. Yeah, it was meant to be simple, like a thought process. Just a series of everyday events. I often forget that falling in love is something that happens every day, and it's rarely dramatic or romantic as we pretend. It's usually awkward and unexpected and funny. So thanks, I'm really glad you enjoyed this. Report Review
aw. i love this. James seems so innocent. it's friggen adorable. again, i love it. (:Author's Response: I love James. Thank you for reading! Report Review
I LOVE the way this is written! It's so different from all the other Lily/James stories out there & I love it! :)Author's Response: :) Thanks. Glad you enjoyed it. Report Review
cute. just ... cute. :] i love it!
and 'Eclectic Lamp Orchestra' is pretty catchy. you should copyright that haha. although the original ELO might not like that too much!!Author's Response: Haha, I wanted to show James being a wizard dork. :) Glad you liked it! Thanks for the review. Report Review

I absolutely love this. I loved the little bits about Jame's friends too. The little things that just make their personalities. I just loved it. It was awesome.Author's Response: Thanks. Glad you enjoyed it! Report Review
This was a wonderful example of how a great one-piece can encapsulate an entire relationship. Part of why the story was so wonderful is the characterizations, which are actually in-character with canon, believable and totally and utterly un-fanon. This could have happened and I bet the truth as Rowling imagined it wasn't too different. It's lovely how dense James is and how he doesn't have a clue. Lily is spirited and it's easy to imagine him falling for her and vice versa.
This story is refreshingly different from the tired (and unbelievable) hate/love cliched fan fictions that comprise 99% of Lily/James stories. Though, even if you had gone with a fanon cliched relationship, your writing and style would have made the story good.
Thanks for the great story.Author's Response: I'm really glad you liked it. Your review is praise I'm not sure I deserve! Thank you so much. :) Report Review
:O im in LOVE! this was amazing! oh my gosh!Author's Response: Hahah, thanks. Report Review
This is terrific. I like that you used the present tense - it gives your story a quick pace and a sense of urgency. You've also included some pretty intriguing details - I was particularly drawn to the moment when James' eyebrows felt funny, having experienced that myself.
Favorite line: "James resolves to call Evans ‘Lily’. After all, that is her name, he thinks." I'm not sure if you meant for that to be funny, but I laughed out loud.
Great work here. I'd like to read more of your work.
PalomaAuthor's Response: Thanks. I'm enamoured with the present tense at the moment. Haha, the line about his eyebrows is my favourite part. :)
The line you picked out is meant to be funny, yeah. I was going to put "he thinks" in brackets, so it was clearer, but I never got round to it. Maybe I'll edit it. Hmm.
Anyway. Thanks for the lovely review! Glad you enjoyed this. Report Review
So adorable! I completely loved it! PLEASE write more!!! *Claps and loads of cookies* -CharlyAuthor's Response: :D Thanks. I won't be adding to this story, but I'll be posting one-shots about Sirius and Peter soon, as the Remus one is already up. Report Review
