Yay! James and Nata!!! I can already imagine James becoming more "James" when he gets all excited about the muggle toys!! Please tell me you did that! omg, Fiona is probably going to be all crazy and ruin it though :( Now I'm sad, darn drama that makes the world of fanfiction go round! It has to ruin everything!

Truthfully speaking this story surprised me! I was unsure about this story but have taken quite a liking to it! Is it cliche and pathetic that I don't want James to get hurt by misreading things or by Natasha not speaking up...but obviously events of similar relation will most probably happen! I wouldnt mind if the Georginia lady (sorry for misspelling of it) decides that in order to interest readers giver her a fake boyfriend or something and jealousy kind of plays of that

I definitely figured that with the title and what not, people would expect it to be something super fluffy with a main characters who's a very prissy have-it-all type of girl who takes everything for granted, so I tried to make Tash as opposite of that as possible.

she is like a constant pain in the butt and feet.
honestly, she's so ridiculous.
I loved that part about how Natasha was saying that her mum wouldn't understand NOT winning because it means that Natasha understands now that not everything is about winning and that there are a lot more to life.

What I'm really curious is why she didn't get sorted to Hufflepuff though. Natasha's far too nice sometimes, especially when it comes to her mum. Then again, maybe her mum is just her weak spot.

Author's Response: Yeah, Tash's mum is a bit of a roadblock in the story, but she's there for a reason. I think she's just a little misunderstood, because she really is just trying to make sure Nata's happy. She's just going about it the wrong way.

Yeah Tash probably should've been sorted into Hufflepuff but the hat saw something deep within her that was Gryffindor. It's actually going to come up later in the story, so you'll understand it more later.

AND YES MOLLY AND GRYFFIN! They are my two favorite characters to write. Literally, I want them to be real so I can be bffs with them.

And yes, James and Tash are going on a quasi-date. Which is a big step for the both of them.

You "horrible" updating is compensated by this wonderful chapter.
For me, the highlight was Molly and Griffin. They are the most perfectly imperfect people at Hogwarts, and their dysfunctional relationship is the best kind. I think I know what happened- Griffin kissed Molly, didn't he? And out of nowhere, they're going out. Talk about a plot-twist.
James and Nat are a comfortable couple-they exude the aura "made for each other". They add some very adorable fluff to the story.
Nat's mum is, as usual, very demanding. I strongly dislike her. I wish she'd just accept her daughter's decisions, or atleast try to understand her better. That doesn't seem like it's going to happen anytime soon.

such an amazing chapter of this wonderful story!! I truly love it, it's so good! I love how the characters developed and especially the friendship between James and Natasha, so good! The only thing that annoys me is Natasha being unable to make decisions on her own, but I think it's supposed to annoy me :) But she slowly cracks through that, I mean she agreed on a date with James, which she not only isn't 'allowed' to do but which also will bring a lot of good and bad attention to her. Okay, I'm sorry, I really love the story and the characters and everything, but the way Natasha lost the snitch was just stupid.
I could understand Fiona distracting her during the game or something, but when you're grabbing something you had just been passionately chasing, you don't pause and look away before you grab it. That just doesn't happen.
Even having Natasha notice Fiona after she catches it and fall off her broom might make sense, but the way it happened just made no sense to me at all.
Also, why is Natasha so super self-conscious about every little word or look when she's been trained her whole life to endure people constantly judging her? She would be more than familiar with girls like Fiona and the attitude that come with them. Natasha just has no confidence at all lately, when I think she should have some.
And I kind of hate her for becoming MORE of a doormat in some respects.
Also a minor detail -when Dom and Natasha were talking in the locker rooms, Dom said they hadn't come close to winning in years. I thought Gryffindor had a winning streak while James was on the team..?
But, all that said, I really did enjoy the end of the chapter. I LOVED Natasha and James together ❤❤ they were so sweet and I love watching their relationship build :)
Somehow, though, I almost sort of like watching Molly and Gryffin better. I probably don't actually like them better, but it's really close. They're a fantastic subplot and Gryffin is an adorable idiot, climbing into Molly's lap like that :D I wish I could read more of their relationship and see one of their study sessions working on a project or something. Author's Response: Aw I'm sorry you don't like the way Natasha lost the snitch. I just imagined it as Natasha was reaching out to grab the snitch and her eyes happened to flick over to Fiona and she just kind of froze for a split second and that split second lost her the snitch. Just understand it was necessary for the plot of the story and kind of a foreshadowing for something that'll happen later.

The thing is, Natasha does have a thick skin in like the pageanting world, where she has her mum to tell her what to do and to act like a rock for her. Tash has never had to do something on her own, and has never had to be her own person, so she's extra self conscious because the person she's putting out there is actually her and who she is. And so it's harder for her to get judged by her peers on who she actually is, then who her pageant self is. If that makes sense. And I mean, the whole point of the story is that Tash needs to stop being the doormat she's been her entire life.

As for the minor detail, Gryffindor hadn't come close to winning against Hufflepuff in a math in years. James quit before they ever went against Hufflepuff last year so they didn't come close to winning against Hufflepuff.

I'm glad you at least liked the end of the chapter. I'm sorry you didn't like reading this one! :(

Ahaha and yeah, I love writing Molly and Gryffin more than anything else in this story. They are literally my favorite pair.

I'm loving all the fancy metaphors and dramatic commentary about living a lie :)
At the same time, I don't think pageants are quite as awful and fake as people make them out to be. I do think it's nice that they give scholarships and donate to charity, even if its just for being pretty. It gives more people opportunities, for whatever silly reason. Though I wouldn't really know, condsidering I've never been in one..
(And obviously it's different in Natasha'a case, as she doesn't actually want to be doing it.)

I already love the characters too :) I like how Natasha cares so much about her mom and the whole idea for this story is really unique and I'm glad you did it!
I right now I have a couple predictions...that Natasha will go to Hogwarts as part of the normalcy thing (though maybe only plan for half a year? Not sure..) and while she's gone her mom will feel lonely and actually work out a better relationship with Winston (who seems really sweet, by the way.)
Regardless of whether that actually happens, I like the story and this was a great introduction because it revealed a lot of Natasha's background. And at the same time, it didn't bog us down with too much information.

I was hoping gryffindor would win but now I'm actually happy they lost because I think it taught Tash a lesson, that the rest of the world doesn't mind her not winning. I think your characters are very well developed, I especially like Tash, she's a lot different from the stereotypical OC, and I love that she isn't a Mary Sue! James is a very interesting character, and I'm actually curious to know more about Albus :) I like Molly a lot too... Love the Tash and James bit in the end, by the way!
