This made me want to cry. Even if you made the ending sweet, even though I loved every bit of this, YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED. I mean, come on, I only just got over yesterday's chapter of Breaking Even, and now you plonk this in my face as if I was capable of surviving it. (Of course, the fact that I read this of my free will is completely irrelevant to the discussion).

Author's Response: Rachel's the evil one, honestly. Here I was trying to write some fluffy Sneth and all I could think about was "his memories are gone, agghhh, their future is doomed!" So it's all her fault. But the feels are so good even when they're so bad, amirite? In short, she is a genius. And she writes angsty romance like nobody's business.

Heehee, I tried to end this on a happier note (EVEN THOUGH IT'S DOOMED. DOOMED, I TELL YOU.) because all the other sections were so depressing. It was the most intimidating thing I've ever written. I put it off for /months/ and didn't start until her actual birthday. I ship her characters so hard that I always seize upon the opportunity to write them for myself and force them to have lurve moments, but even then I feel like I've got her sitting behind my shoulder with her Sneth-canon goggles on, so I have to try to behave (meaning no Beth and Severus snogging with reckless abandon in the dungeons).

Thank you for reading and reviewing this! Sneth is so underrated. I love talking about it with other people who also follow Beth's story.
