Jchrissy,

Wow. From the very beginning the imagery is stunning. "Cradled atop a small hill and nearly secluded in a sea of grass and flowers." Love that!! Beautiful! And "The age of her bones was feeling particularly vengeful at such a late hour" It is wonderfully descriptive.

I love the characterization of both of James' parents. His father was strong and protective; I could tell that he cared for both James and Sirius. William's comment on Sirius's mother was great. I loved a bit of humor in a serious chapter. Olivia was the embodiment of motherhood. She was supportive, protective, and kind. Both were perfect and I could see two such people raising a confident and well-liked boy that James is portrayed as in the books. Olivia's thought on the black family were great. From what I can tell the Black's disowned anyone who did not partake in the thought of pureblood supremacy.

I could visualize the house perfectly and Sirius entering with Lily. But James was just wow. I really liked how he handled Lily in her distraught state. The comment about his hand placement and how he hugged her during her time of need, it was touching to read. My heart broke at Lily's final words of the chapter.

I'll be reading on...You are a wonderful writer and I LOVE LOVE the title. It is the ideal title to the years leading up to "The Boy Who Lived"

Author's Response: Meg ♥!

It means so much to me that you're able to see James in his parents. We know that his confidence isn't a false one, which made me think he'd really have to have strong, supportive parents to give him that kind of security. And I can't tell you how smiley it makes me that you enjoyed both of them in this chapter ♥

Aww Meg, thank you so much for your amazing compliments. ♥ You've made my day. Actually you've made multiple days. While I read this the first time, and now that I'm going back to review it ♥

Thank you again for stopping by, and I'm so excited to get to the next chapter of Cold! Which will most likely be this evening :)!

Jami
