I'm so glad I'm not in a similar situation. It's "easy" to say "make it count", but so much harder to actually go through with it. All the heartache that accompanies it, makes it as hard as anything can be.

I really like your characterisation :). It's nice to have another type of plot, where James has another "interest" than Lily.

Author's Response: I'm glad you're not in a similar situation as well, it's not an easy one to be in. You're right, it is easier said than done. I don't think anyone can know exactly how he's feeling. The important thing, however, isn't that she understands him, but that she's neutral territory. She isn't as emotionally invested, so he finds it relieving to run away to her when he becomes overwhelmed with all of the grief, but I digress. ;)

I wanted to explore something new. We all know the story, but it's fun to play around with 'what if's' sometimes. I'm glad you like it so far! Thanks for reading! :)
