Wow, I'm a huge Marauder fan and I was so thrilled when I saw how many Marauder era stories you have! :) I finally settled for this one because of the "Shake it out" challenge. I have no idea what the challenge was but the song by Florence and the Machine is my favorite.

Back to story. This was beautifully written. I think you really captured the essence of James and his emotions in the face of death. Having lost my father to a long illness, I can relate to the way in which the passing always takes you by surprise and you are never ready for it. Also, the way in which you had everything wrap up in the end with that last line... You made me tear up!

So this was my thank you review for all the lovely Christmas reviews and I will come back for more of your stories!
