You're right - Willow IS insane. But she's lovable, and that's the important bit, right?
I haven't really done much with Bella, I'm afraid she doesn't really have much of a personality right now; but that will change soon, I hope. All you guys know about her at the moment is that she's more cautious than Willow, has family issues, and is pregnant with Fred's kid. And I know, James: YOU IDIOT!
Willow just overreacts. just a little bit. Everytime. But yeah, you knew she was insane.
Kate is... GAH I honestly hate her. And Zabini.
Rose is clever, but who knows, she might be a bit too clever soon ( maybe spoiler? ).
The Imperius curse. I wanted Rose and Scorp to fight, but I like my characters, so they needed a good reason, and that ties in very well with this. And... that probably won't be revealed anytime soon, but I promise it will make sense in the end.
We'll see about them making up.
