I've been meaning to read this for ages and I was going to initially post in your thread, but you beat me to it. :P ANYWAY.

This was amazing. I loved this as a prologue and wowowowow I can't wait to read the next, like, 10 chapters of this (and you updated today!!!). No, but, really the coherency isn't coming out today because this is just me fangirling majorly over this.

I don't read a lot of Founders era stuff, but I think I'll start to, because you've reminded me how much I love the way (when written well) the flow of language and sentences seems archaic and just downright lovable. I just get this otherwordly feeling, you know? Its just so interesting how other customs and traditions are carried out that are ancient and nonexistent nowadays and its just like this stolen piece of history. I'm rambling, ahah, but perhaps you know what I mean?

There was just so much powerful imagery in this that made my heart break and really pulled me in, because I've always wanted to read the Bloody Baron & Helena's story and ugh here it is wrapped up so nicely.

Anyway this was just full of feels and I can't wait to get stuck into the coming chapters! :D

Author's Response: Hi Hanzi! I'm sorry this response took ages!

I'm always flattered to be the recipient of fangirling, so thanks! It's so great to hear that the prologue sucked you in and made you want to read more. I've had a blast toying with these little-known characters and investigating an under-appreciated era.

I'm pleased to hear that you liked the imagery and language here, and that the narrative sort of sent you back to a different time. I was too intrigued by the Baron and Helena's story not to go with this plunny when it struck. I hope you'll return soon to read more of their tale!

Thanks for this very kind review :)

-Amanda
