This is intreging, it's nothing like your normal next-gen school story. I wonder what he has to find out about himself, about 'Hugo'.

"Hugo?" Lily asked with a small voice, tugging on his arm, "will you still be my friend even if you're in Ravenclaw?" This. So sad, but it's not in a way but it still made me feel sorry for her and go aww. She's lost her best friend and even though she appeared to be full of life and talkative at the start, it's nice that she has a quieter side.

Hugo seems interesting, a little quiet but I do feel sorry for him. He's been seperated from his family and he hasn't really spoken to anyone in his year yet. I hope he makes at least one friend though!

A nicely written story though, you've got a good start and set the scene nicely for what I'm sure will be an interesting storyline. Gret job! :)

No, it is definitly not like your regular next-gen story and that was basically my main guideline : be different!

Hugo has a lot to learn about himself, mostly, that he is worth something. He's the kind of kid that keeps to the shadows and doesn't like to be the center of attention and in his family, where most of his cousins fight to be in the spotlight, he gets forgotten sometimes and just goes along with the flow instead of giving his ideas and opinions.

Lily, no matter how extrovert she might be, is still just an eleven years old girl who had not anticipated being separated from her best friend.
