The wedding! Oh gosh. Thank you for making it a mixture of magic and class. It felt perfect for these people's social status's, but still held the magic and feeling of a wedding. And the descriptions were so breathtaking! You know.. if you ever want to plan a wedding... ;P

Okay, I'm backing up a bit. Rowena is amazing. I just love the different sides to her personalty you give us. She cares about her daughter very deeply, and just wants to make sure she is safe and taken care of. And this day and age, a suitable husband is what you do. It's not a maybe. It's how things work. I think that by adding this bit to her character, you've made her more than just the woman that was one of the four founders.

And she's so intuitive! Her thoughts around Venn's behavior and Salazar's influence really feel, to me, like a foreshadowing of how bad this can get. Shivers.

I love that Venn stuck up for her. And even if his reason was because she is the only one that doesn't bore him, coming from him that's a huge compliment. He cares about her. I really think he does.

Okay. My analyzing is over. Now I'm feelsing.

Everything about this just kind of took a turn into the darker to me, except Helena forgiving Venn. I just feel like the focus you're putting on the founders, while still making sure they slide seamlessly along with the story, is so awesome. It just gives us piles of complexity. More than anything, that mixed with the romance, creates that - must know what happens - feeling that pretty much assures you have me hooked until the end.

Well, I have planned one wedding, and have little interest in doing that all over again, haha! Anyway, I'm glad you liked it and enjoyed spending a few romantic moments with Venn and Helena. It was nice to step back from the chaos of their courtship and see a successful engagement come to a head here.

Rowena has sparked a good deal of controversy in this story, in terms of the importance she places on Helena getting married. I'm glad you're on Team Tradition :) Seriously, though, I want it to be clear that she does care about her daughter, even in quite misguided ways at times. She puts her fears on the table because she doesn't want to see harm come to Helena, because she thinks she knows best. I hope you'll see more of that motherly attitude as you keep reading on.

Venn is starting to change, if only because he realizes that he won't win Helena by being passive. Somewhere beneath his tough exterior, he knows his marriage won't be happy if his wife never comes to love him. I find myself rooting for him more and more these days as I try to keep fleshing him out into the prince charming that Helena needs.

More darkness is coming, unfortunately, but hopefully there will be some light fluff in there, too. I'm happy that you're still hooked! Thanks for another wonderful review :)
