So first off, let me just say that you write Hermione really well. She's nervous and a bit dorky, just like in canon, but still a very capable and competent woman. Nicely done. And hoo boy, did you get the anxiety of waiting on a pregnancy test down cold. That's an uncomfortable sort of feeling, when you weren't intending to wind up taking one, if you know what I mean. And of course it's positive, so I'm super happy for her ;) Yay Rose approaching! And I really liked the bit about Ginny not overreacting to the possibility of Hermione being pregnant, I think that was really good characterization.

Ron saying "I'm the boss, I have thumbs" cracked me up. And he secretly pets Crookshanks and feeds him fish. So cute. I love him. You write him well. And he knows Hermione so well, he can see it in her face immediately that something's up. Perceptive Pisces. ;) But in typical Ron fashion, he doesn't entirely phrase it right. haha. I'm also glad that Ron was happy right away. In a lot of stories, he's not, and I don't think that makes sense for him. Of course he's okay with it - he's got a decent job, his entire family is better off financially at this point than they were when he was little, and he's from a large family - he's quite accustomed to the whole small children thing. I think he'd react with excitement. So yay, you totally did that like my head canon.

I loved it, I thought it was completely adorable. And now I really really need a fluffy engagement scene ;)

Thank you... I love Hermione. My aim is always to be true to JKR's characterization (although obviously ageing and developing them where necessary!) so it's good to know you think I've managed to get Hermione and even Ginny across to you. Heehee, no comment on the test thing. And Rose! Little baby Rose! Got quite a while to wait for her though.

I liked that line, too! Ron and his battle of wills with the cat/kneazle. I did wonder how Ron would react, but when it came to writing it there was really only one answer for me - of course he'd be happy. Really for all the reasons you stated! Of course, that's not to say that he won't freak out a little at some later point ;)

Thank you, I'm glad you loved this chapter. We'll have to wait and see what happens re: engagement :P But I promise, if it happens, it will be fluffy indeed ;)
