Author's Response: Eeep!! I must say that I'm pleased about this reaction! It means I did something right.

Fan fiction Fred is a hard thing to venture through. If it's an AU and he survives, that makes it less poignant because honestly, there would not be this many Fred-centric stories were it not for his death. And then in the stories where he dies, of course, there's this awful anguish and blergh. :(
