Beth and Snape sitting in a tree. . .

You know this chapter got me wondering how many other friendships/relationships got torn apart because of the division about 'blood purity'.

Yes Beth, you are turning into somewhat of a stereotypical teenage girl when it comes to Snape but we shall let you off.

I bet he was reading that awful, awful book. Oh how everything would have turned out differently if Beth had seen it!

Whilst moments like this are cute, I do feel sorry for the pair of them. How is their friendship/possible relationship ever going to work when they are going to be on different sides. I have an inkling of what may happen when certain things in the canon timeline happen, with there being 3 books I am pretty sure that that whole situation is going to arise so it'll be interesting to see what happens with them then.

But for now the future of Sneth is not a rosy one. Which is sad. Because Snape needs Beth in his life, to show him how to be a better person.

Author's Response: I really think that's an interesting question you broach. I know that Slytherins and Gryffindors are reputed to be horrible enemies, but I think it might have been this era that introduced that stigma. There had to have been SOME Gryffindor/Slytherin friendships, and maybe they were torn asunder by this war. Oooh, that's something I'd love to read!

I love writing moments like this, but you definitely picked up on perhaps the more important aspect -- how few and far between moments like this are sure to be soon. And now you've made me curious with your talking of theories. :D I want to know what you're thinking!

Snape does need Beth in his life. Although biased, I am a firm believer in this fact. -nods- Your reviews really just make me smile so much. Thank you eternally for leaving me all these! ♥
