First of all, congrats on posting your first story, its definetely an exciting feeling.

So far it seems like you're off to a good start. There were a few grammatical issues but it looks like they have been pointed out already, so I won't dwell on that. The characterization was good, Rose seems similar to the brief glimpse we got of her in the books, and she and Albus both seem like believable 11 year olds.

The one area I think you could improve is just to add some more detail and descriptions. For example, it jumps pretty quickly from the train ride to the sorting hat ceremony, I would have liked to see a little more of their reactions to riding the boats acrooss the lake and seeing the castle for the first time.

Overall you're off to a good start, now onto the next chapter...

Yes, there are some typos I'll be correcting when the queue calms down, and also I'll add some more description. The chapters are pretty short so I'm sure there won't be any problem.
