I'm so glad you decided to re-post in my thread! I really enjoyed this one. I'm actually competing in the challenge as well, and it must have been very hard to make bacon part of a story without making a joke out of it, but you definitely pulled it off, in my opinion. Sirius's emotions really came through very well, and it was neat that you used a happy memory (which was very entertaining to read) to induce sadness in him. I think you characterized him very well.

I think this one stands just fine on its own, though I think readers will be intrigued to check out your other stories about this pairing just from this little taste. Your writing flows very smoothly and I liked your OC, Isis. She seems like a great partner for Sirius, considering his playful, carefree nature.

My only small critique would be that I saw a few technical errors, like misspellings and words missing out of sentences. You could get a beta to double-check stuff for you, as that might be the easiest way to correct these mistakes, or you could just try to proofread another time before posting. Either way, they're very small and didn't detract from my enjoyment of the story at all.

I am very please that you feel that the story made bacon important without being silly. I am also happy to hear it stands well on its own. I do hope that this makes people want to go and read the others.

When creating Isis's character it was very important to create a woman that could have fun with Sirius and bring him back to reality at the same time.

I've been considering getting a beta to catch those little errors that I miss. Though I am glad that the ones you found were very small and did not detract from your enjoyment of the story.
