Hi there!
Well, I've been a terrible person, and I have put off this review for you for quite a while D: Since you won it for figuring out the riddles in Riddles for Tom, I should've left it ages ago! Congrats on that btw!

first off - I LOVE THIS. It is so endearingly sweet and wonderful and I think you captured Luna really well! I bet Sarah (lllb) absolutely loved it as well. I like how you describe Rolf (for some reason in my head I imagine him to be like James Mcavoy) with the nice smile and everything. It sorta made my heart melt. ♥

And your Luna was wonderful! I think you captured her easygoing nature really well. I love reading Luna stories since most of the time they're so lovely and they make me want to sit back, relax, and just really enjoy the words on the page. And the ending was so sweet! I loved that part the most, I think xD

Your writing flowed very easily in this piece and was really nice to read :D I think you did an excellent job! I adore your description, which is something I often have trouble with. Any tips on that? :P

I will have to check out your other stories soon enough - can't believe I haven't read anything of yours after this delightful one-shot! :D

Author's Response: aw don't worry about it! to be completely honest i'd forgotten that i even won anything haha. but thank you! i mainly replied for the challenge--i love riddles!
thank you, i'm so glad you like it! it was a bit of a point of stress for me to write from Luna's pov or even to have her in a story--she's really hard to grasp as a writer, i've tried it before and am always in admiration of the story-writers i've seen who can capture her "otherness". SO I'M SO GLAD that to you it seems like i did!!
james mcavoy would be a cute rolf! personally i see him as lee pace, but james would certainly fit the picture i was trying to put across :P hehe love boys who can make your heart melt.even if they're imaginary (shh! don't tell)
i'm glad you liked the ending, too. i was unsure if this was going to make people unhappy, because it's kind of a long one-shot and then i leave it sort of, well, ambiguous...but i personally like it (would make sense, no?) too :)
thank you!! okay, even though you may have been joking: description. unfortunately for my ability to give tips, it's always something that's come rather naturally, my brain having the tendency to notice too much all the time--er, when i'm actively paying attention, that is, hehe--but my poetry teacher gave us a piece of advice that i think is really useful: think about the way that a person's head moves around in a conversation. for example, some times we look away, noticing different things, sometimes we're watching the person.
for me, it also helps to make a list of "ways" that the thing looks like. then i see if there's anything that the list reminds me of (i lean back upon figurative language maybe a little too much though) . like the line of people coming through the reeds like a snake. i knew i wanted them to look dark, be walking in a serpentine pattern over the hills...
i think personally i border on too much description at times; it's weird how learning to write poetry has helped to condense my stories as well :)
thank you so much for the review! definitely made my day :)
