It wasn't as if I didn't see this coming, but ... I don't think I've ever been so close to crying over a fanfic before. And Cecilia, too! I knew something would happen to her father, but killing her as well (is there a faint hope that she isn't dead, that the green light was something else??)!

The sudden change from happy, warm summer and Cecilia's romantic thoughts and perfect family life to chaos and cold murder was extremely well written, almost like a David Lynch film. And poor Reid ... what is he going to do, kill himself?

Author's Response: I did hint pretty broadly about this outcome, but I was hoping to still keep some of the shock value, so I'm glad it did. But sorry that it had to happen! No, she is definitely dead (as you probably saw if you read the second half). Thank you for the review - and thank you so much for the comparison to David Lynch! That's a high honor.
