I realize you posted this story several months ago, however I just came across it now, and I felt it deserved a review, even though I usually don't take the time to write them. I love this one-shot. My thoughts immediately jumped to Snape's memory that Harry saw in the 7th book, where Snape made Dumbledore promsie not to tell people of his better side. It was short, sweet, and I feel very in character, but showing a side that he usually hid. Touching. I loved it.

Author's Response: Well thank you! It is so nice to get feedback on this one shot. I wrote it so fast, just off a spur of idea, so it is great to hear about what people thought about it. I adore the character of Snape so much and I did want to remind the world that he is so good, he just is the worst person in showing it to the rest of the world.
