Beyond awesome banner by Bedazzled @ TDA

My take on the cliche headboy/headgirl.

Includes snogging, bacon, hair dye and most of all, love.

Not as serious as it sounds....

Hermione yawned. It was the later in the afternoon now, and she was drying off after a shower after convincing Draco that she did not want to have another go at flying. After an only slightly awkward walk back up to the castle, she had excused herself to have a shower. She had been covered in dirt and grass from Draco's planned 'fall' and she had been quite tired. Draco had smirked, as was his custom, and told her he'd wait for her in the common room. Hermione wondered if he thought that this was going to be at all... strange. They'd have to tell people about this... thing... they had, and not to mention deal with the backlash. She was dreading it slightly, but she supposed it was inescapable, just as them getting together had been. Hermione snorted. She was starting to sound like Trelawney. Sighing, Hermione dried off her hair with her wand, and made her way down to meet Draco.

Hermione peered around the corner, smiling slightly as she saw Draco clad in pyjamas. It seemed strange that Draco Malfoy, who was once her sworn enemy, would just waltz around in his pyjamas. Not to mention the fact that she'd see him in them.

He noticed her, finally, and smiled. 'Hey.' he said quietly. 'I got us some hot chocolate.'

He gestured to the tray that rested on the coffee table, two steaming mugs sitting on it.

Hermione cleared her throat. 'Thanks.'

Hermione stepped carefully over to the chair across from Draco, sinking into it.

'So.' said Draco. 'Now we're...'

'Together?'

Draco chuckled suddenly, breaking the tension. 'Come here.' he said, spreading his arms. Hermione side in defeat and curled up next to him, feeling his arms rest on waist.

'This is nice.' she commented.

'Yes.'

Hermione chuckled. 'Now the only thing we need to worry about is telling the school.'

Draco shrugged. 'I'm more worried about telling Weasley.'

'Scared?' Hermione teased lightly, poking him in the side lightly.

Draco smirked. 'Hardly. If she killed me, you'd kill her, then Potter would probably kill you and, well... It wouldn't be good.'

Hermione rolled her eyes. 'I'm glad you've planned that far ahead.'

Draco sighed. 'So how are we going to break it to your little friends?'

Hermione bristled. 'They are not little, you prat. Anyway, Ginny basically knows, and I'm pretty sure Harry has some idea, although he probably only think we're friends.'

'So it's just Won-Won left.'

Hermione snorted. 'Who cares about him. We can just skip around, whistling and holding hands and let him reach his own conclusion.'

Draco chuckled. 'What, that we'd been cursed?'

Hermione huffed and twisted up to look at him. 'It's not that unbelievable, is it?'

'Yes.' he said, then leant down and kissed her.

Hermione spent the rest of her time either finishing off essays that she was yet to complete, or just talking with Draco. He was quite amusing, with many anecdotes about his childhood and growing up. Finally, though, the weekend ended, and they had to return to their classes. Obviously, there was much spectualation about the new civility and closeness between the pair but the gossip didn't bother Hermione as much as she thought it would. They eventually told Harry and Ginny, which was probably one of the most unforgettable moments in Hermione's Hogwarts life.

It had started on Sunday evening, when, after much moaning from Draco, Hermione had finally managed to get them down to the Gryffindor common rooms to see Harry and Ginny. They had been debating about the best way to break it to them while standing rather obviously outside the portrait if the fat lady, when they heard footsteps behind them. Whipping around, they had noticed none other than Ron and Lavender waking towards them. Hermione remembered the interaction fondly.

'What are you doing here?' spat Ron, glaring at Malfoy. Lavender looked Hermione up and down rather obnoxiously, sniffing contemptuously.

Malfoy looked at him coldly. 'Waiting for Hermione's friends. Remember those people you used to hang out with before you ditched them for your girlfriend.' he said scathingly

Ron ears reddened. 'You have no business with them!'

Hermione glared at him. 'Don't tell him what to do, Ron!'

Ron glared at her. 'I can't believe you're taking his side. You're such a little sl-'

And that had been when Draco had dived at him, abandoning his wand and punching him in the eye. Hermione had appreciated him defending her, but she had a sneaking suspicion that Draco had just been waiting for a chance to punch Ron, and would of done it anyway. But, never the less, it was nice. After the boys had scuffled for a bit, and Lavender was squealing while Hermione yelled at them, another two people came around the corner. Surprise, surprise, it was Harry and Ginny. Harry, being the hero, had blasted everyone away from each other with his wand, while Ginny's expression looked torn between laughter and shock.

After everyone had calmed down, Harry had sent Ron off with a few harsh words and yelled at Draco for a bit, until Ginny calmed him down enough to go get food. They had gone to the kitchens, yet again, and argued for a bit more, until Hermione finally burst out with the fact that they were together. Harry and been shocked, Ginny had insisted she'd known it all along, And then it was over, and they had gotten out unscathed.

Hermione sighed contently. It was all good. Even if their relationship lasted a month for year, it wouldn't matter. Life was finally working out and she wasn't ready to stuff it up by looking to the future just yet.

A/N: *hides from various thrown vegetables and/or rubbish* I'm sorry if this is the lamest ending chapter in all fic history. I just really didn't know how to end it.

Anyway, I'd just like to thank all you people who have favourited, reviewed, or even read this story. It means so much that I've had all your support through this fic. Up next, maybe another Dramione, or maybe a OC/Marauder. I'll see how it goes. But once again, I can't believe this story is completed, and I'll miss it dearly. Thankyou for all your support, and who knows, I might re vamp this story in a few months and give it some serious editing :) xx
